The school year runs from 1st September to the 31st August in every year. Where the
word YEAR is used it refers to these dates. Children are referred to as
YEAR R (Reception (EYFS) Early Years Foundation Stage)
Reception Class place September 2023
Children would normally enter school for the first time in the year in which they
are 5 years of age.
For September 2022 they would born between the 1st September 2018 and 31st August
2019. So a child in reception could only just 4, or 5 on the first September that
year.

any information. Should you choose to bring your child here we will arrange for a
series of taster half days in the Summer Term.
In Year transfers
For in year transfers from other schools please contact the School Office who will
inform you of the procedures involved. In Year Transfers are most common for families
who move house to a new area or who are looking to change schools locally for other
reasons.

Little Elms Nursery takes children from the age of 2. We accept 15 and 30 hour
funded places and accept private bookings. Additional hours can be booked in
advance or on a week by week basis.
