Privacy Notice for Parents/Carers
Almeley Primary School is the Data Controller under data protection law and will
use the information you provide on the enclosed forms in order to provide you with
appropriate pastoral care, support pupils’ learning and monitor and report on pupils’
progress.
The legal basis for processing this data is your consent to do so. You can withdraw
your consent at any time by notifying us. Our contact details to do so, or for any

We will keep your data for the length of time your child is at our school or we may
also keep it beyond their attendance at our school if this is necessary in order
to comply with our legal obligations. In order to provide you with the service,
your information will be shared with partner organisations, including:-
- Schools that pupil’s attend after leaving us – to meet our legal obligations in providing
continuous assessment data/SEN data for the pupil
- Our Local Authority – to meet our legal obligations to share certain information
with it, such as safeguarding concerns, exclusions and free school meal eligibility
- The Department of Education – to meet our legal obligations providing information
for statutory census returns
- Health Authority – Special Educational Needs specialist services, school nurse for
age relevant health screening
- The pupil’s family and representatives – to meet legal obligations in safeguarding
and welfare of a pupil
- Examining bodies – to meet our legal obligations to have Key Stage data marked
- Our regulator (Ofsted) – to meet our legal obligations with a school inspection
- Suppliers and service providers – to enable them to provide the service we have contracted
them for
Individuals have a number of rights under data protection law, including the right
to request their information. You also have a right to make a complaint about our
